AIDA-2020 2nd Annual Meeting announcement
Jennifer Toes (CERN), 15/02/2017

The second Annual Meeting of the AIDA-2020 project will take place over 4th-7th April, at the Jussieu Campus of the Laboratoire de Physique Nucléaire et de Hautes Énergies (LPNHE) in Paris, France.

The meeting will mark the halfway point of the project’s four-year duration and will allow all participating members and associates to present and review the progress of the project since the first Annual Meeting in June 2016. It will also provide an excellent opportunity to discuss the next year of activity, and prepare for the Mid-Term Review by the European Commission, scheduled for April.

The planned talks will include general plenary presentations to all project participants, and Work Package specific parallel sessions with WP collaborators and interested parties.

The Scientific Advisory Board will meet and make a report on the activity of the project as presented at the meeting, and the Governing Board will meet to discuss how to move forward with the third year of the project.

The Annual Meeting will also host the first AIDA-2020 Academia Meets Industry event, which will focus on the use of detectors and related technology in medical imaging and processing. The event boasts talks from both academic and industrial partners and an evening cocktail reception.

Registration for both events is open until the 17th March. For further information, consult the Indico pages for each event.
